WTO - promotion is a skill better suited to the private sector!
in 2005 WTO (World Tourism Organization) identified as one of the major forces of change the public-private partnerships – particularly on what regards the promotion. This trend will become more prevalent in more developed countries with a federal system (like Switzerland)…The need for government funding is acknowledged but WTO recognizes that promotion is a skill better suited to the private sector. (WTO White report 2005)
